The Truth About Canadian Health Care

Canadians have never seen 'hospital bills' or 'doctors bills'. Both are illegal in Canada. Each Canadian Province has a slightly different plan, and enrollment is mandatory for citizens and residents. However the costs of enrollment vary from cheap to free, depending on income.  There is no deductible or hidden charges.

In my Province the highest Premium is $75 a month for one adult.

As I watch the unpopular and expensive ObamaCare and TrumpCare plans being rolled out several problems are obvious. Many American families and individuals simply cannot afford to pay the ridiculous premiums in these challenging times. Unemployment is at an unprecedented level, and most of the employed can reasonably be described as "the working poor

I would summarize the Canadian healthcare "plan" as any clinic, any hospital, any doctor, any test or procedure, any time. Everything from a stubbed toe to open-heart surgery is 100% covered.

Many Americans describe Canada's excellent health care system as "socialized medicine". The word socialized is perceived by these Americans as something evil and horrible.

Let's look at the definition of socialize:

so·cial·ize
v. so·cial·ized, so·cial·iz·ing, so·cial·iz·es
v.tr.
1. To place under government or group ownership or control: socialized medical care.

America could easily provide free health care to all citizens, but it would require changing priorities. It would mean starting fewer wars, buying fewer submarines and aircraft carriers, closing some of the 800 military bases, and ending the runaway greed and corruption of the military industrial complex.

You can do it America. Put your people ahead of your corrupt military system.
